Irish comics are revered the world over, and County Down stand-up comedian Big 'O' is no
different.  The larger than life merry maker was born, bred and well
buttered at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. His early years in the comedy
business were nurtured through the local pantomime club where he blossomed into
one of Ireland's best-loved comics.

Big 'O' (aka OllyMcMahon) has a repartee of jokes that's faster than a machine gun.  So
there's no ceasefire as far as comedy is concerned.  Big 'O' is the warm
up artist for B.B.C. in the North of Ireland and Ulster television and is a
freelance radio broadcaster.  Also a member of Equity, he has appeared in
various T.V. shows and has regularly appeared in the situation comedy
"Give My Head Peace".  During his career he has toured with
Daniel O’Donnell, Smokie, The Furey Brothers, Showwaddywaddy, Joe Dolan, and
many more.

  He has extensively toured the British
Isles, America and Spain, and rumour has it that he and Bill Clinton shared a
flight in Air force One. (Rumour has it).  Big 'O' is also a fine singer,
though he tends to stick to laughter. He has recorded to date a video, two
cassettes tapes and a cd, with a new album soon to be recorded.  When Big
'O's eyes are smiling... you'll be roaring with laughter!
